Over the past few months, we have been so busy and we’ve been up to some really exciting things. It’s been a little quiet over here on the Shapes of Things blog for a while but we are back and better than ever!
January rolled around after a busy festive period and fuelled by coffee, we were ready to face lots of new challenges head on! It was all hands on deck in the Shapes of Things studio to work on lots of exciting new projects for this year. While we can’t share them all with you just yet, we’ve been up to some pretty cool things and wanted to share them with you.
At the end of January, some of our Shapes Team jetted off to France to exhibit at Playtime Paris, one of the world’s most popular and well known Children’s clothing tradeshows. The team all had a brilliant time showcasing our new collection, meeting with other kids clothing brands and customers – it was great to see a few familiar faces, thank you all for stopping by to say hello! Playtime Paris was awesome, we all had so much fun and there was so much to take inspiration from!
We can’t wait to show you our new collection really soon. We’ve kept some classic designs, put a fresh twist on some others and we’ve brought in some totally new designs and concepts that we are sure your little ones will love as much as we do! Make sure you are following us on Instagram @weloveshapes to avoid missing any exciting updates that will be coming soon.
February flew buy. It was a month of designing and planning for the rest of the year. We also went along to Kelvinside Academy to participate in a mini fashion show which featured some really cool brands to help raise funds for the nursery. The nursery pupils strutted their stuff down the catwalk in some of our favourite monochrome pieces and they looked amazing! Great fun and lots of laughter was had by everyone and we hope to do something like this again in the future!
Before we knew it, it was March. Spring was just starting to arrive and we finally had some sun blazing through our studio windows! In March, we took part in an Urban Market event at Glasgow’s well-loved Dry-Gate brewery. We love a good pop-up shop! We took down a bunch of the team and armed with some of our awesome SS17 collection, we set up shop. We had an amazing afternoon and it was so nice to see some of our regular Shapes customers pop down and visit us!
And finally it’s April. Spring is in full swing here in Glasgow, the school holidays are underway and most importantly, it’s almost time to seriously over-indulge in all things chocolate and take a few days off to relax and spend time with family and friends!
We found this action-packed list of exciting things to do in Glasgow and the surrounding areas during the Easter Holidays that is sure to keep your kids entertained for hours. Whatever you and your little ones are up to this Easter holiday to keep busy, we hope it’s fun-filled and fuelled by lots and lots of chocolate!
